During the third quarter of 2022, several music and audio applications on the Android platform showed noteworthy performance trends in Algeria. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

StarMaker: Sing Karaoke Songs experienced significant fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly revenue peaked at $26 in mid-July before stabilizing around $6-$11 towards the end of Q3. Downloads surged dramatically, reaching over 579K in the last week of September from just 2.5K at the start of the quarter. The app also saw a massive increase in active users, culminating at approximately 978K by the end of September.

Lark Player:Music Player & MP3 maintained a steady stream of weekly downloads, ranging between 39K and 62K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, rising from 1.7M to nearly 2M by the end of September.

Tube Music Downloader Tube Mp3 saw its weekly downloads peak at 38.9K in mid-August, before declining to 19.6K by the end of September. Active users increased steadily, peaking at about 30.5K in early September before slightly decreasing to 26.5K at the end of the month.

Default Music Player had a varied performance in downloads, peaking at around 57.7K at the start of the quarter and fluctuating to 21.3K by the end of September. Active users showed a general upward trend, reaching approximately 177K in mid-September before settling at around 147K at the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Anghami: Play music & Podcasts showcased a relatively stable revenue stream, peaking at $50 in early July. Downloads saw a significant drop from 34.5K in late July to around 12.9K by the end of September. Active users remained stable, hovering around 448K to 500K throughout the quarter.
